# R Book
This file file serves as your book's preface, a great place to describe your book's content and ideas.
I use GitBook to create this book. [The full-on documentation is here](https://toolchain.gitbook.com/setup.html).
Because nobody reads docs anymore, here's how you set this up to be productive. Fire up a bash prompt \(yes, this works on Windows too\).
apt-get install npm #gets you node, etc
npm install gitbook-cli -g
You don't necessarily need to do the above if you just want to modify some content and check it in to git. This can be done with a text editor or with the [GitBook Editor](https://www.gitbook.com/editor).
